New Chairman appointed
The Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) has confirmed the appointment of Chris Hitchen, replacing Richard Wohanka as Chairman.
In August 2022 Richard Wohanka, CBE, retired.
Richard served as Chair of the Nuclear Liabilities Fund from 2016 until 2022 and his hard work and careful stewardship has put the fund in a strong position as it enters a new stage of fulfilling its purpose.
Chris Hitchen was appointed as the new Chair and looks forward to working with Board members, the Executive Team, and stakeholders over the coming years to ensure sufficiency of the fund to meet future decommissioning costs.
